The Edmonton Eskimos 1979 finished in 1st place in the Western Conference with a 12–2–2 record and repeated as Grey Cup champions after winning the 67th Grey Cup.

The Edmonton Eskimos are the 1979 Grey Cup champions, defeating the Montreal Alouettes, 17–9, in front of their home crowd at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium.
