The Saskatchewan Roughriders 2013 season was the 56th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Roughriders improved upon their 8–10 record from 2012 and made the playoffs for the second straight season, while hosting their first playoff game since 2010. After defeating the BC Lions and Calgary Stampeders in the playoffs, the Roughriders qualified for their fourth Grey Cup appearance in seven years and first ever at their home stadium. The team defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 45-23 in the 101st Grey Cup en route to winning the franchise’s fourth championship. With the added seats at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field, the Roughriders led the league in attendance for the first time, with an average of 37,503 fans attending each regular season game.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders 1989 season was considered to be the 36th season in modern-day Canadian football, although it’s officially the 32nd Canadian Football League season.

The CFL Board of Governors approved the sale of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from Harold Ballard (of Maple Leaf Gardens Limited) to David Braley on Friday, February 24. In April, the CFL announced a two-year television agreement with Carling O’Keefe Breweries for $12 million plus an additional $3 million for club promotional support.

The CFL hosted both its Annual Meetings and the Canadian College Draft for the second straight year in Hamilton.

The Toronto Argonauts played their first game at the SkyDome. The SkyDome also was the host of the 77th Annual Grey Cup game, on Sunday, November 26, when the Saskatchewan Roughriders defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 43–40. On September 7, the BC Lions were purchased by Murray Pezim.

The Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union decided to change the location of the Vanier Cup game, from Varsity Stadium to the SkyDome. The University of Western Ontario defeated the University of Saskatchewan, 35–10 in the Vanier Cup’s silver anniversary game.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders 2007 Canadian Football League season was the 54th season of modern Canadian professional football. Officially, it was the 50th season of the league, and many special events were held to commemorate the event. Regular-season play began on June 28, 2007 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario and concluded on Saturday, November 3, 2007. The playoffs began on Sunday, November 11, 2007, and ended with the championship game, the 95th Grey Cup, at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, on November 25, 2007, with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as champions.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers slotback, Milt Stegall passed Mike Pringle and George Reed for the most career touchdowns with 137 on July 27. By the end of the season he had 144 career touchdowns and, with 14,695 career receiving yards, was trying to pass Allen Pitts all-time league record of 14,891 receiving yards.

Toronto Argonauts slotback, Derrell Mitchell surpassed Paul Masotti as the franchise’s all-time leading receiver on July 26.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back, Charles Roberts passed Leo Lewis to become the franchise’s all-time leading rusher on September 2.

BC running back, Joe Smith broke former Lion great Cory Philpot’s franchise single season rushing record on October 28. More
